Wonderland China’s editorial project, "Behind the screen, she rises," presents a collection of fashion portraits and compositions centered on model Jiali Zhao. Photographer Shenyun Ren utilizes a blend of high-contrast monochrome aesthetics and moody, directional lighting to focus on the interplay of fabric textures and sculptural accessories. The series navigates between clean, architectural studio environments and tight, intimate framing to highlight contemporary apparel and polished leather details. The project features fashion styling by Shaliya Xu, who emphasizes the tactile qualities of tweed, denim, and glossy hardware. Through a combination of analogue film techniques and sharp, studio-based editorial visuals, the work maintains a consistent, high-fashion aesthetic across its vertical and horizontal compositions.
