Trial And Error is a recurring fashion editorial project for Vogue Portugal that explores the relationship between high-concept tailoring and sculptural set design. Through a series of monochrome and saturated portraits, the work juxtaposes architectural silhouettes with tactile textures, ranging from oversized pleated collars to avant-garde embellished garments. Photographer Freddy Persson employs a mastery of low-key lighting and dramatic chiaroscuro to highlight the intricate details of each look. Fashion editor Marko Mrkaja coordinates a distinct sartorial narrative, while set designer Toar Avni introduces surreal, graphic elements that frame the subject within staged, theatrical environments. The editorial is further refined by the precise, clean beauty aesthetic provided by makeup artist Steven Canavan.
