Stillness & Movement is a fashion editorial series for Vogue Portugal that explores the intersection of human form and sculptural abstraction. Through a minimalist lens, the imagery balances static poses with kinetic energy, utilizing techniques like multiple exposure to create ghosting effects and layered silhouettes. Photographer Paulina Manterys works in concert with creative direction from Editor-in-Chief Sofia Lucas to frame model Dee Zowislo within stark architectural settings and controlled studio environments. The series leans into a high-fashion aesthetic, relying on low-key chiaroscuro lighting and warm, earthy color palettes to accentuate the garment textures and geometric props. Casting by Kata Haratym-Janik supports the deliberate, choreographic nature of the poses, which frequently integrate abstract wire sculptures and experimental framing to heighten the editorial narrative.
