Coldwave is a fashion editorial series for Vogue Portugal, directed by Editor-in-Chief Sofia Lucas. The project explores high-contrast silhouettes and intricate textures, leaning into surreal and maximalist visual cues. Photography by Natella Kiseleva captures a series of experimental looks, utilizing soft beauty light and desaturated color palettes to emphasize sculptural garment design. Styling by Medina Gadzhi-Ismaylova incorporates heavy knits, sequined structures, and faux fur, set against clean studio backdrops. The aesthetic is defined by Elizabeth Fogel’s work in hair styling, which focuses on voluminous, bouffant shapes and tactile, frizzed textures. The collection maintains a consistent editorial poise, employing abstract techniques like ice-layering and monochromatic layering to create a cohesive, avant-garde series.
