Vogue Portugal's Beauty Study is a detailed editorial series that interrogates the textures, accessories, and precision of cosmetic artistry. Through a series of tight macro portraits and minimalist still lifes, the project explores the interplay between natural skin and graphic elements—from bleached eyebrows and wet-look hair to metallic cuffs and everyday grooming tools like cotton swabs. The execution leans into a clean, controlled aesthetic, frequently utilising natural light to capture the fine details of skin texture and cosmetic application. Photographed by Oda Eide, the series maintains a consistent, stripped-back visual language. The project is shaped by the collaborative efforts of fashion editor and stylist Rachel Simone and makeup artist Elena Bettanello, whose work emphasises sculptural forms and minimalist compositions across the entire study.
