New Expectations

Sep 2026
Vogue Greece explores the intersection of classicism and contemporary edge in its latest fashion editorial, New Expectations. By leaning into an aesthetic of deliberate contrast, the feature bridges the gap between grand, historical interiors and the sharp, architectural lines of modern luxury. Photographer Branislav Simoncik utilizes raw flash and hard light to cut through the stillness of these ornate settings, turning the magazine feature into a cinematic visual narrative. The imagery is defined by a sense of editorial minimalism, where the focus remains strictly on the sculptural silhouettes of the garments, such as a structured black leather coat and a deeply plunging dress featuring architectural folds. This visual intensity is heightened by the meticulous styling of Nicholas Georgiou, whose work frames the garments as objects of art against the pale, gold-trimmed architecture and moody night-time backdrops. Complementing this, Anastasiia Tymoshchuk contributes sleek, slicked-back hair styling, while makeup artist Lloyd Simmonds punctuates the look with bold lips and deep tones, grounding the raw energy of the film-like aesthetic. Casting director Anita Bitton facilitates a powerful performance from model Lara Menezes, whose presence brings a sophisticated, untamed edge to the proceedings. Ultimately, the project excels by capturing a specific, gritty glamour that feels both timeless and urgent, proving that the alchemy of film-inspired techniques and high-fashion sensibility remains the ultimate language for modern visual storytelling.
