Branislav Simoncik is an esteemed photographer whose artistic journey began with documentary photography, earning him the prestigious Fuji Press Photo Prize for his evocative series capturing Cuban boxers in Guantánamo. However, his creative vision soon transitioned into the realms of fashion and portrait photography, where he has since made a significant impact. His striking imagery has graced the covers and editorials of renowned magazines such as VOGUE, GQ, Vanity Fair, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Blue Paper, and encens, establishing him as a sought-after talent in the industry. Simoncik has had the privilege of photographing an array of celebrated actors, including Sharon Stone, Luke Evans, Jeremy Renner, Emma Mackey, and Sadie Sink, as well as top models such as Irina Shayk, Jamie Bochert, and Alessandra Ambrosio, among many others. A noteworthy highlight in his career was his participation in the groundbreaking project "A Step for Equality" (Um Passo Pela Igualdade), where he captured portraits of influential Portuguese men across diverse fields such as culture, science, sports, and business. The resulting exhibition at the Berardo Collection Museum in Lisbon and the accompanying photo book received widespread acclaim.
