To mark two decades of Vogue China, photographer Elizaveta Porodina captures a series of surreal editorial portraits that define the publication's anniversary milestone. Working under the editorial direction of Rocco Liu, the project leans into a painterly aesthetic characterized by soft, diffused lighting and moody, earthy color palettes. The imagery utilizes layered reflections, optical distortions, and motion blur to create a dreamlike, cinematic atmosphere across the studio sets. Fashion editor and stylist Liu Xiao curates a collection of avant-garde and textured garments, ranging from voluminous white cable-knit constructions to sharp, sculptural black tailoring. The production features a distinguished cast of models, including Du Juan, FeiFei Sun, He Cong, Lina Zhang, Ming Xi, Shu Pei Qin, Xiao Wen Ju, and Chu Wong. Technical precision is maintained throughout through meticulous hair styling by Zhou Xue Ming and bold, expressive makeup artistry by Valentina Li, with casting oversight by Gabrielle Seo.
