Vogue China: Vogue China 20th Anniversary Cover shoot

To mark its 20th anniversary, Vogue China presents a landmark editorial series captured by photographer Elizaveta Porodina. Under the editorial direction of Rocco Liu, the project leans into a surreal, painterly aesthetic that defines the commemorative issue. The visuals employ layered compositions and long exposure techniques to distort space and motion, set against a consistent palette of moody olive and deep teal gradients. Fashion editor and stylist Liu Xiao curates a wardrobe of avant-garde silhouettes, pairing voluminous tulle and tactile knitwear with structured, sculptural tailoring. Complementing this, hair stylist Zhou Xue Ming and makeup artist Valentina Li emphasize high-gloss finishes and bold red lips. Featuring a cohort of prominent talent including Du Juan, FeiFei Sun, and He Cong, the shoot utilises mirrors and reflective glass to achieve a multi-dimensional, cinematic atmosphere.
