Vivienne Westwood
Fall 2023 Ad Campaign

Jul 2023
For the Vivienne Westwood Fall 2023 campaign, creative director Dovile Drizyte and photographer Juergen Teller lean into the label’s signature spirit of avant-garde rebellion, grounding high-fashion eccentricity in the grit of everyday reality. Shot on location in the quiet village of Tintwistle, the campaign eschews the polished artifice of traditional luxury advertising in favor of a raw, pastoral aesthetic. The imagery captures a cast of diverse talent, including Andreas Kronthaler, Cora Corre, Mark Vanderloo, and Vivienne Rohner, posing against weathered brick walls, residential driveways, and suburban sports fields. By utilizing natural light and an editorial minimalism that emphasizes the tactile qualities of wool, satin, and intricate plaid textiles, the series highlights the deliberate, clashing silhouettes that define the brand. With styling by Sabina Schreder, the looks integrate eccentric accessories—from metallic platform boots to graffiti-printed handbags—with complex, multi-layered ensembles that challenge conventional tailoring. The result is a striking juxtaposition: hyper-stylized, provocative garments placed within the mundane, overcast landscape of the British countryside. This approach yields a portfolio of portraits that feel spontaneous yet meticulously composed, effectively balancing the house’s heritage of structural design with a lived-in, human perspective. Through this blend of high-concept fashion and unassuming, real-world backdrops, the campaign successfully frames the collection as both timelessly iconic and refreshingly subversive.
