Unbuttoned : a story of shirts

Jan 2024
Versace presents Unbuttoned: a story of shirts, a fashion editorial project that explores the brand's iconic silk patterns through a series of coastal portraits. Photographer Zac Bayly frames the collection against shifting natural light, moving from the soft, golden hues of dusk to the stark contrasts of nighttime flash photography. The work centers on textural details and relaxed silhouettes, utilizing an analogue film aesthetic to emphasize the tactile quality of the silk garments. The project was produced by Carmen Cicchinelli Production, with styling by Abby Bennett and hair and makeup by Shella Ruby Martin. By placing the shirts in varied beach and ocean settings, the series captures a distinct editorial mood that leans into natural light and atmospheric, gritty compositions.
