Just Desserts is an editorial feature for Cartola Magazine that focuses on a sculptural exploration of the male form. Photographed by Joey Leo, the project utilizes studio lighting to capture anatomy and texture through a series of portraits and diptychs. The series leans heavily into chiaroscuro techniques, using high-contrast monochrome treatments to accentuate muscular definition and form against dark, minimal studio backgrounds. By blending dramatic low-key lighting with occasional natural light lifestyle frames, the work highlights the interplay of light, shadow, and skin texture. The collection serves as an editorial study of physique, prioritizing clean composition and tactile detail.
