Tricot
Brand Identity

Mar 2020
The new brand identity for Tricot, a contemporary luxury fashion label, successfully reconciles the tactile heritage of artisanal knitwear with a modern, high-contrast digital presence. Under the creative oversight of the design team at Violet Office, the project establishes a cohesive visual language that seamlessly navigates between physical collateral and digital retail. By employing a disciplined, minimalist UI illustration, the e-commerce platform prioritizes clarity, utilizing crisp typography and a muted palette to elevate the product photography. This structural elegance extends into the physical realm, where the brand leans into a sophisticated, monochromatic aesthetic defined by deep black backdrops and refined typography. The application of consistent graphic elements—such as the deliberate use of bold, red serif accents and recycled-inspired vector branding—creates a signature look that feels both established and contemporary. Through the clever use of soft light and organic textures, the campaign highlights the brand's commitment to quality materials like Peruvian Andean wool and cashmere, effectively positioning Tricot within the competitive landscape of high-end fashion. The identity succeeds by balancing technical precision with an artisanal spirit, ensuring that every touchpoint, from the embossed stationery to the mobile-first website, reinforces a premium, global narrative of craftsmanship that links the brand's production hubs from Paris and New York to Italy and Peru.
