The Chair is a fashion editorial series produced for Teeth Magazine, captured by photographer Michelle Du Xuan. The project focuses on the interplay between structured, minimalist garments and the sculptural form of seating furniture. Throughout the editorial, Du Xuan employs clean, natural light to emphasize the textures of both the apparel and the varied environments, which range from stark, minimalist studios to rustic, stone-walled interiors. The series leans into a refined, editorial aesthetic, utilizing precise composition and clean framing to highlight the relationship between the subject and their surroundings. Contributing to the visual identity are hair stylist Mayu Morimoto and makeup artist Hind Sousan, who crafted the distinct beauty looks featuring sharp, blunt fringes and glossy finishes that mirror the editorial's sleek sensibility.
