Crowd of One is a fashion editorial series for Tank Magazine that explores the tension between central subjects and surrounding figures. Photographed by Otto Masters, the project features model Ana Portela set against diverse groups, utilizing moody, low-key lighting to isolate high-fashion silhouettes. The composition emphasizes texture and pattern, with a focus on contrasting structured luxury garments against layered, athletic, and minimalist apparel. Techniques including chiaroscuro lighting and layered framing define the aesthetic, bringing a kinetic, theatrical energy to the studio-based series. Movement direction by Liam John provides structure to the dense clusters, while hair styling by Kenta Koda introduces precision to the various looks. Casting by Carmen Young rounds out the project, creating a dense, visually immersive editorial environment.
