STIL-LADEN: Brand Identity
Oct 2020
STIL-LADEN establishes its fashion brand identity through a series of minimalist photographic and graphic design assets. The project centers on the intersection of urban lifestyle and organic textures, utilizing raw stone, moss, and wood elements alongside city-focused imagery. Graphic designer Kevin Nowak and photographer Julian Poropatich define the aesthetic, incorporating serif typography and curated still-life compositions to connect nature-inspired motifs with apparel and hardware design. The visual execution leans into a clean, editorial style, documenting the brand's apparel and skateboard decks across various settings. These include controlled studio environments with neutral, warm palettes and location-based scenes captured with analogue film textures. Throughout the work, the imagery emphasizes tactile surfaces and natural light, utilizing techniques like split-panel framing and retro-inspired Polaroid presentation to build a cohesive brand identity.
