Sixteen Journal presents CRASH, a fashion editorial that leans into cinematic tension and raw, industrial aesthetic. Featuring model Alva Claire, the project centres on a series of moody, high-contrast compositions set against a vintage vehicle. The visual language relies heavily on analogue film techniques, utilizing atmospheric haze, low-key lighting, and cool, desaturated colour palettes to define the narrative. Photographer Sam Nixon leads the production, capturing Alva Claire in various urban settings with styling by Ronnie Hart. The production incorporates detailed set design by Kate Stein, with further creative contributions from hair stylist Evanie Frausto, makeup artist Kuma, and producer Wei Li Wang. Through a mix of natural light and dramatic flash, the series explores textural contrasts between lacquered automotive surfaces and intricate apparel.
