The Faces I Hide is a sprawling fashion editorial series for Sicky Magazine that interrogates the relationship between silhouette, texture, and light. Through a sequence of evocative portraits, the project transitions between high-key, luminous compositions and dramatic, low-key chiaroscuro setups to define a cinematic visual narrative. Photographer Mauro Matalone and fashion editor Ale Lozano lean into these stark lighting contrasts to emphasize the structure of the collection. The work employs a diverse range of techniques, including multiple exposure, long-exposure motion blur, and analogue film, to imbue the editorial with both raw texture and a sombre, atmospheric quality.
