Pull Letter Magazine
Side Plate

Jun 2026
Side Plate, the latest visual narrative from Pull Letter Magazine, serves as a masterclass in creative juxtaposition, seamlessly blending the structured elegance of contemporary high fashion with the delicate, nostalgic charm of vintage porcelain. Under the creative direction of Eugenio Fasulo, the project leans into a surreal, avant-garde aesthetic that challenges the traditional boundaries of editorial photography. By utilizing innovative collage techniques and live-action integration, the production team places models against oversized, floral-adorned dinnerware, effectively transforming household staples into sculptural pedestals for modern apparel. Photographer and stylist Jamie-Maree Shipton expertly navigates these contrasting worlds, pairing rugged, distressed leather and heavy metallic grommets with frothy tulle and soft satin to create a tactile, multi-layered visual feast. The artistic approach is bolstered by the precise styling contributions of hair artist Takumi Horiwaki and makeup artist Machiko Yano, who maintain a crisp, elevated finish that anchors the more eccentric elements. With models such as Charlotte Eta Mumm and Nyagoa Diu bringing a striking, neutral-gazed presence to the surrealist compositions, the project feels both experimental and refined. Captured with soft light and a distinct focus on editorial minimalism, Side Plate avoids the expected to deliver a provocative exploration of form, texture, and materiality that pushes the limits of modern fashion imagery and artistic commercial design.
