Documenting the F/W25 Romantic Sharpness collection in Milan, this series of editorial photographs by Su Shan Leong captures the precise tailoring and tactile sensibilities of designers Yushan Li and Jun Zhou. The collection channels a moody aesthetic, utilising low-key lighting and chiaroscuro techniques to accentuate the architectural folds, intricate knitwear, and sculptural silhouettes presented on the runway. Moving through the atmosphere of the backstage environment, the imagery leans into a gritty, raw documentation style. The work emphasises the contrast between structured wool tailoring, fluid macramé, and metallic embellishments, while employing techniques such as long exposure and analogue film to ground the collection’s avant-garde focus in a candid, immersive perspective.
