Holiday 2023 Ad Campaign

Dec 2023

Description

The Paul Andrew Holiday 2023 campaign breaks away from traditional seasonal tropes, instead leaning into a sharp, art-forward aesthetic that blurs the lines between commercial product showcase and fine art photography. Under the creative direction of Paul Andrew, the campaign feels like a series of tactile experiments where luxury footwear takes center stage against a stark, minimalist studio backdrop. Photographer Alessio Bolzoni captures the collection with clinical precision, utilizing studio strobe lighting to emphasize the glossy, reflective surfaces of the leather and vinyl textures. The imagery is defined by the tension between architectural footwear and the human form, with models Veronika Kunz and Benjamin Sherrell serving as sculptural canvases. Art director Juan Francisco Bertoni integrates vibrant, gestural paint splatters and hand-painted typography, such as Joyeux Noel and Make A Wish, which inject a raw, human energy into the high-polish aesthetic. Stylist Marco Van Den Hove pairs these pieces with form-fitting silhouettes and metallic accents, creating a sense of editorial minimalism that feels both festive and subversive. With hair by Pål Berdahl and makeup by Rebecca Davenport, the models maintain a neutral, steady gaze that commands attention, grounding the chaotic color play. The resulting visuals are a masterful display of composition, where the playful overlap of painterly chaos and clean product photography keeps the focus firmly on the luxury designs while pushing the brand identity into a bold, modern space.
