Floating While Drowning is an editorial series for Numéro Switzerland, captured by photographer Vazha Kuchuloria. The project explores sculptural silhouettes and high-contrast color palettes within a studio environment, leaning into saturated jewel tones and graphic set design. Featuring model Rio P, the imagery utilizes textures ranging from crinkled fabric and acrylic enclosures to fluid, submerged settings. Takayuki Umeda provides the hair styling, which frequently features a signature platinum blonde bob, complemented by striking makeup applications. The series relies on soft light to define the relationship between the subject and the layered, primary-colored backdrops.
