Floating While Drowning is a high-fashion editorial story produced for Numéro Switzerland. Centered on model Rio P, the series explores bold silhouettes and saturated palettes through a recurring motif of primary red and blue tones. The project features photography by Vazha Kuchuloria, who utilizes soft studio lighting to define sculptural garments and varied environments—ranging from acrylic enclosures and liquid-filled sets to tactile, crinkled fabric backdrops. The aesthetic is anchored by Takayuki Umeda’s hair styling, which balances sharp, platinum-blonde bobs with avant-garde textures. This editorial work leans into a graphic, high-contrast visual language throughout its diverse set designs.
