Dasha

Mar 2026
In the latest editorial project for Numéro Switzerland, titled Dasha, photographer Ana Marti captures an evocative vision of modern beauty that pushes the boundaries of traditional portraiture. Through a series of tightly cropped, intimate frames, the project explores the interplay between organic skin texture and synthetic, avant-garde elements. Fashion editor and stylist Marta Gonzalez Arias elevates these compositions by layering ornate, gold-toned starburst jewelry and delicate pearls against a backdrop of experimental beauty trends, ranging from neon green pigments to bioluminescent-inspired accents. The project leans into editorial minimalism, utilizing natural light to ground the images while simultaneously embracing low-key, chiaroscuro lighting techniques to introduce mood and cinematic depth. By featuring model Dasha Page, the work channels a contemplative and relaxed intensity that feels both raw and highly polished. These portraits rely on bold color blocking—shifting from vibrant neon-yellow backgrounds to moody red and violet silhouettes—to create a striking, tactile experience. With casting direction by Miguel Brana Campos, the narrative centers on the fusion of light, colour, and refined fashion details, resulting in a cohesive series that resonates with a modern, high-fashion sensibility. Each frame functions as a precise study of light, transforming the face into a canvas for both classic elegance and subversive, futuristic expression within the evolving landscape of contemporary beauty photography.
