Captured for Numéro France, "PERFORMANCE" is a fashion editorial series that explores the intersection of high-concept couture and athletic geometry. Photographer Rowan Papier frames model Nyakong Chan across a variety of interior and architectural settings, from classical colonnades to raw concrete environments. Fashion editor and stylist Edem Dossou curates an array of avant-garde silhouettes, juxtaposing voluminous textures and structured tailoring with performance-inspired elements like arm guards, headbands, and sleek hosiery. The imagery leverages soft, diffused natural light to emphasize the sculptural quality of the garments. With beauty direction by makeup artist Aurelia Liansberg and casting by Paul Louisor, the project presents a cohesive, moody aesthetic. The series utilizes a mix of monochrome and clean, earthy tones to maintain a minimalist focus on form and movement.
