Fall 2023 Ad Campaign

Aug 2023
The Noah Fall 2023 ad campaign is a masterclass in atmospheric storytelling, blurring the lines between high-fashion editorial and documentary-style reportage. Under the sharp creative direction of Brendon Babenzien and art direction by Tyler Wray, the campaign leans into a nostalgic, maritime-inspired curiosity that feels simultaneously grounded in New York City life and detached in a surreal, theatrical realm. Photographer Samuel Bradley captures this duality through a sophisticated use of analogue 35mm film, alternating between high-contrast chiaroscuro compositions that evoke a classic cinematic gravity and clean, natural light portraiture that highlights the tactile warmth of the season’s knitwear. Set designer Caz Slattery constructs an environment rich in narrative props—from vintage VHS tapes and hand-painted ships in bottles to oversized skull-and-crossbones banners—that anchor the collection in a distinct, eccentric brand ethos. Whether utilizing the stark minimalism of a studio aesthetic or the gritty, grainy texture of urban street photography, the imagery maintains a cohesive narrative thread. With contributions from models Hannah Han and Sally Bloom, the campaign avoids the predictable polish of luxury fashion houses, instead favoring a raw, explorative character that honors the brand’s deep-rooted connection to street culture and architectural history, resulting in a visual language that is as intellectually stimulating as it is stylistically refined.
