Description

In this latest collaboration between Mr Porter and the uncompromising aesthetic of The Row, the focus remains resolutely on the architecture of luxury fashion. Photographer Valentin Hennequin captures a masterclass in modern minimalism, utilizing natural light to elevate the tactile quality of the collection’s fine-gauge knits, structured blazers, and buttery leather jackets. The editorial photography leans into a restrained, contemporary palette, where the clothing serves as an extension of the brutalist and concrete environments in which the subjects are placed. Featuring models Aboubakar Konte and Delta van Melle, the imagery avoids the noise of traditional commercial trends, opting instead for a deliberate, meditative stillness that highlights the precision of the tailoring and the deliberate layering of shirts and sweaters. The project relies on clean lines and soft, directional lighting to emphasize the depth of the garments, resulting in a series of portraits that feel both timeless and deeply grounded in the present moment. With the sharp precision of hair styling by Michael Harding providing a clean, subtle frame for each ensemble, the work effectively channels a quiet, sophisticated power. This editorial campaign serves as a testament to the enduring appeal of understated luxury, where the deliberate focus on composition and texture speaks volumes about the evolving nature of the modern menswear wardrobe and the house's distinct, stripped-back visual language.
