Moose Knuckles
Fall 2024 Ad Campaign

Aug 2024
The Moose Knuckles Fall 2024 campaign is a masterclass in high-fashion editorial minimalism, stripping away the superfluous to place the focus entirely on texture, color, and silhouette. Through the lens of photographer Carin Backoff, the campaign leans into a surreal, monochromatic aesthetic that feels both playful and sharply curated. Models Amelia Gray and Ungho Go command the frame against vibrant, plush backdrops of baby blue and neon pink, creating a high-contrast environment that allows the brand’s signature luxury outerwear to take center stage. The styling by Carlos Nazario utilizes clever juxtapositions, pairing voluminous, shaggy faux-fur pieces with sleek bodysuits and sheer stockings to challenge traditional notions of cold-weather utility. Mustafa Yanaz’s hair direction—defined by blunt, straight-cut bangs—and Michaela Bosch’s subtle yet deliberate makeup choices anchor the models in a polished, modern look. The implementation of studio strobe lighting techniques brings a crispness to every frame, emphasizing the tactile quality of the fur while maintaining an air of detachment. Ian Salter’s set design acts as a crucial narrative device, utilizing props like vintage corded telephones to inject a touch of retro-inspired irony into the otherwise clean, symmterical compositions. This project succeeds by transforming luxury apparel into a graphic experience, delivering an aesthetic that is as visually arresting as it is commercially compelling for the upcoming season.
