Mixte: Storytellers

Storytellers is a sprawling fashion editorial for Mixte magazine, oscillating between the stark isolation of rugged coastal landscapes and the cinematic, nocturnal atmosphere of roadside gas stations. Through a series of carefully composed portraits, the project leans into earthy textures and a muted, desaturated palette, frequently anchoring its narrative within the retro architecture of a vintage sedan. Photographed by Léa Wormsbach with styling by Julia Quante, the series emphasizes the interplay between soft natural daylight and dramatic, low-key chiaroscuro lighting. The editorial features models Billie Kennes, Momo Ndiaye, and Pleun Keijsers, with hair styling provided by Roku Roppongi and makeup artistry by Anne Timper. The imagery captures a tactile, observational quality, focusing on layered tailoring and the contrast of structured garments against arid, volcanic terrains.
