ANNE TIMPER works in a youthful, modern aesthetic that is playful yet sophisticated. Originally from Berlin, Anne spent time studying and working in Europe alongside the world’s leading makeup artists. Now based in Sydney, her work leans into the exploration of contemporary shapes and colour through instinct. A look is briefed by a model’s voice, facial features, and the character Anne can bring to the surface. Anne cites art, the history of makeup and its interconnectivity with fashion to form a modern take on the past. Her work is influenced by music and its similarities with fashion as a platform for emotive and visceral memories to speak.
