Mia Le Journal
HOT CITY MADNESS

Mar 2026
HOT CITY MADNESS for Mia Le Journal stands as a masterclass in modern fashion editorial work, blurring the lines between structural architecture and raw, urban performance. Photographer Gautier Pellegrin captures a sharp, contemporary narrative that leans into the interplay between high-contrast light and minimalist silhouettes. By centering the work on Anyiel Majok, the project creates a visual dialogue where the human form becomes an extension of the metropolitan environment. The series moves between sleek, high-shine vinyl and cascading fringe, effectively utilizing a bold palette of primary reds and stark monochrome blacks to punctuate the surrounding concrete and industrial textures. Stylistically, the imagery draws power from its diverse range of techniques, moving from the clinical precision of studio strobe lighting to the ethereal, cinematic quality of motion-blurred 35mm film. The collaboration between hair stylist Erisson Musella and makeup artist Karin Borromeo adds a layer of graphic intensity, particularly in the close-up portraiture where bold eyeliner treatments define the emotional landscape of the shoot. Through the discerning lens of casting director Simone Bart Rocchietti, the project achieves a balanced, editorial aesthetic that feels both grounded in luxury fashion and pulsingly alive with the frantic, rhythmic energy of city life, ultimately transforming urban grit into a cohesive and sophisticated visual manifesto.
