Form Follows Femme is a fashion editorial series for Mia Le Journal, focusing on the interplay between structural tailoring and rich, tactile fabrics. Through a blend of monochromatic and earthy palettes, the project explores sculptural silhouettes, ranging from oversized wool coats and voluminous furs to precise leather detailing. Photographed by Jakub Szymanski, the series utilises a mix of soft studio light and high-contrast, directional natural light to emphasise the garment textures and the model's sharp, slicked-back aesthetic. Styling by Julie Wozniak provides a minimalist, modern foundation, while makeup artist Augusto Picerni maintains a clean, refined finish. The series captures a tension between dramatic, voluminous outerwear and the precise, clean lines of the surrounding environment, leaning into an editorial, minimalist aesthetic with subtle analogue film influences.
