The series utilizes clean studio lighting and neutral backgrounds to isolate these surreal compositions, emphasizing the textures of the props and the precise application of the makeup. Casting, directed by Max Kallio, brings together a variety of subjects who model these elaborate, high-concept headwear arrangements, spanning techniques from monochrome photography to high-key studio setups.
