The African SUN is a fashion editorial produced for L'Officiel Baltics. Centered on a series of studio-based portraits, the project explores the interplay between structured, architectural silhouettes and highly textured materials. Photographer Seleen Saleh documents model Ahmad Cisse in a variety of avant-garde looks, emphasizing clean, vertical compositions that isolate the subject against neutral backdrops. Fashion styling by Mickey Freeman anchors the aesthetic, utilizing metallic fabrics, glossy finishes, and intricate pleating to create a cohesive visual narrative. The execution relies on soft, directional lighting to highlight the depth of the garments and the model's distinctively sculpted dreadlocks, leaning into a minimalist editorial style.
