L'Officiel Baltics: Rebel Ballerina

Rebel Ballerina, an editorial series for L'Officiel Baltics, explores the intersection of classical dance aesthetics and contemporary edgy tailoring. Photographer Ivana Micic captures a series of contrasts, juxtaposing voluminous, layered tulle skirts and delicate pointe shoes against structured bomber jackets, industrial concrete staircases, and urban nightscapes. The project channels a moody, tactile perspective on movement and form. Through the use of analogue film techniques and natural light, the editorial maintains a grounded, cinematic quality. The imagery moves between minimalist studio settings and gritty, architectural backdrops, emphasizing the tension between the fluid grace of ballet and a sharper, modern sartorial sensibility.
