THE SUN FACTOR is an editorial fashion series for Issue Magazine U.S., captured by photographer Cristian Martinelli. The project explores the intersection of high-contrast styling and rugged coastal landscapes, utilizing natural light and hard light techniques to highlight the complex textures of the garments. The editorial features model Vera Vollebregt across a series of beachside and rock-formation environments. Styling by fashion editor Giorgia Melis employs sculptural layering—ranging from sheer black lace and silk to metallic accents—to create visual tension against the organic, sun-drenched settings. The production, cast by Theo Spencer, leverages analogue film aesthetics to lean into warm, earthy tones and crisp shadow play throughout the collection.
