In the Shadows is a fashion editorial project for Mixte that explores the intersection of fine jewellery and high-contrast portraiture. Photographed by Tobias Delcroix, the series leans into a moody, cinematic aesthetic, utilising low-key chiaroscuro lighting to isolate textures against minimalist dark backgrounds. The work pairs structural leather garments with intricate gold and diamond pieces, creating a dialogue between tactile fabric and metallic precision. Featuring model Elise Marie, the series shifts between intimate macro shots and dynamic portraits that employ collage techniques and intentional motion blur. The imagery focuses on the interplay of light on skin and gemstone, resulting in a refined, editorial narrative. Creative execution is supported by hair stylist Ryoji Imaizumi, makeup artist Camille Siguret, and casting director Sebastien Hernandez Bertrand, with manicures by Christina Conrad.
