OBJETS DE DÉSIRS

Feb 2026
In the Objets de Desirs editorial project for Harper's Bazaar France, the creative team strips back the noise of high fashion to focus on the tactile relationship between skin, silk, and gold. Under the discerning eyes of Creative Director Franck Durand and Fashion Director Elodie David Touboul, the series eschews cluttered staging in favor of an editorial minimalism that feels both timeless and distinctly contemporary. Photographer Aude Le Barbey captures these intimate moments through a lens of soft-focus precision, utilizing natural light and deliberate studio strobe setups to illuminate the interplay of textures. Whether focusing on a quilted gold ring or a delicate strand of luminous pearls draped across a shoulder, the imagery prioritizes a refined sense of luxury. Fashion Editor and Stylist Hannah Ryan expertly navigates the balance between sheer fabrics and bold jewelry, while the nuanced contributions from hair stylist Gor Duryan and makeup artist Kamila Vay ensure that the focus remains firmly on the elevated materials. By leveraging macro photography techniques alongside a restrained color palette of beige, mauve, and soft black, the project invites the viewer into a world of quiet elegance. Every frame functions as an exercise in composition, proving that when the execution is this focused, the objects themselves truly become the singular, covetable desires.
