L’OR EN TENSION

Mar 2026
In L’OR EN TENSION, Harper's Bazaar France delivers a masterclass in editorial minimalism, stripping back the noise to focus on the interplay between light, skin, and precious metal. Under the creative direction of Franck Durand and the artistic guidance of Anaïs Mesmacque and Lise de Martino, this jewellery-focused campaign channels an aesthetic of refined, high-fashion restraint. Photographer Jean Marques captures the collection through a series of intentional compositions, utilizing a mix of soft natural light and precise studio strobe setups to emphasize the tactile quality of gold against deep skin tones. Styled by Daria Di Gennaro, the project marries sculptural jewelry with elevated, everyday wardrobe staples like crisp white button-downs and cozy knits, grounding the luxury accessories in a tangible, wearable reality. The imagery leans into macro photography to highlight the intricate craftsmanship of quilted cuffs and diamond-encrusted rings, while the clean, high-key framing ensures the focus remains squarely on the form and luster of the pieces. With contributions from set designer Nicolas Mur, who maintains a stark, elegant backdrop, and the precise touch of manicurist Sylvie Vacca, the project achieves a balanced, sophisticated tension. Every frame serves as a testament to the power of deliberate detail, presenting luxury not just as an object to be admired, but as an essential element of modern style.
