Description

The N°May editorial project for Harper's Bazaar France transcends traditional jewellery advertising by orchestrating a masterclass in elemental tension. Under the lens of photographer Jacques Brun, the series leans into a refined, editorial minimalism that privileges the tactile relationship between high-end adornment and raw, organic environments. Through a sequence of meticulously staged macro shots, the jewellery is placed against bleached coral, weathered pebbles, and abalone shells, creating a sophisticated dialogue between the permanence of diamonds and the ephemeral texture of nature. This interplay is echoed in the portraiture, where model Liseth Sairys appears with a serene, natural presence, her aesthetic defined by the clean lines of hair stylist Andrea Idini and the luminous, dewy skin finish orchestrated by makeup artist Sacha Giraudeau. The creative vision is anchored by the set design of Sophear Van Froment, whose use of natural light and earth-toned backdrops ensures that each composition remains grounded and authentic. By employing a consistent natural light technique throughout, the project avoids the sterility often found in commercial jewellery campaigns, opting instead for a high-art sensibility. The result is a cohesive, evocative body of work that celebrates the delicate craftsmanship of the pieces while grounding them in a rugged, sun-drenched reality that feels both timeless and urgently contemporary.
