The Ascending Dragon is a fashion editorial series produced for Grazia International. The project focuses on traditional craftsmanship and architectural heritage, incorporating organic materials like woven bamboo traps and artisanal baskets into each composition to ground the subjects in a textured, rural landscape. Photographed by Avani Rai with creative direction from Dane Stojanovic, the series leans into an earthy aesthetic. Many of the images utilize analogue film techniques and monochrome grading to emphasize the stark linework of the setting and the intricate details of the models' wardrobe. Hair styling by Jean-Luc Amarin complements the natural environment, which ranges from quiet, reed-lined rivers to traditional stone courtyard settings.
