Dark Waters is a fashion editorial series for Grazia International, featuring model Lily Chapman. Under the creative direction of Dane Stojanovic, the project centers on a series of studio portraits that explore varied textures and structured silhouettes, from voluminous feathered outerwear and lace to tailored gowns and camel coats. Photographer Jack Waterlot captures the subjects with a technical focus on lighting, alternating between soft, diffused studio aesthetics and high-contrast, chiaroscuro-inspired moody compositions. The editorial incorporates techniques such as intentional motion blur and analogue film-style grain to introduce visual dynamism to the minimalist, neutral studio settings. The production is defined by a polished beauty aesthetic, featuring hair styling by Jean-Luc Amarin and makeup by Anna Sadamori. Across the series, the styling emphasises intricate jewellery details, providing a textured, editorial look.
