GQ Portugal: FEARLESS FLIGHT

FEARLESS FLIGHT is a fashion editorial series for GQ Portugal, brought to life through the lens of photographer Stewart Bryden. The project explores a tension between the ethereal and the industrial, juxtaposing surreal elements like feathered angel wings and articulated metal armor against raw, urban settings and minimalist domestic interiors. The series moves between high-contrast monochrome studio work and warm, natural light captures, employing a blend of chiaroscuro techniques and classic film grain to heighten the visual narrative. Bryden’s work utilizes diverse environments ranging from weathered brick exteriors and city skylines to unmade bedroom sets. Through a combination of textured styling, glossy patent leather, and layered knitwear, the editorial creates a multifaceted character study that feels both grounded and otherworldly.
