Off Season for GQ Portugal is a multi-layered fashion editorial that explores the tension between architectural stillness and human movement. Photographed by Élio Nogueira with fashion styling by Mariana Pimenta, the series moves through opulent interior spaces and lush outdoor settings to build a quiet, observational narrative. The project leans into warm, nostalgic tones and rich textures—ranging from ornate gold brocade and deep wood paneling to the crispness of linen tailoring. By pairing static portraiture with techniques like long exposure and cinematic underwater capture, the work moves beyond standard fashion imagery to create an atmospheric, reflective mood. Throughout the collection, the interaction between the subject and his surroundings—whether reflected in ornate mirrors, posed against neoclassical molding, or submerged in water—emphasizes a deliberate, considered pace.
