For the Guan Chao project, Elle China presents a vibrant fashion editorial that leans into a nautical aesthetic. Photographed by Nam J, the series captures models Jiahui Zhang, Qun Ye, and Yanan Wan against coastal backdrops, transitioning between sandy shorelines, weathered docks, and sailing vessels. The styling blends resort wear with technical elements like wetsuits and diving gear, captured through clean, natural light compositions. Featuring casting by Summer Chen, the editorial utilises earthy tones and sharp monochrome contrast to frame its subjects in a maritime environment. The production relies on hair styling by Zhao Wenzhi and makeup by Bing Bing to maintain a polished, summer-ready aesthetic throughout the series, utilising techniques such as analogue film to add depth to the seaside imagery.
