IN HER FIGURE, a dynamic editorial project for Duel Magazine, serves as a masterclass in visual juxtaposition and high-fashion storytelling. Under the creative vision of fashion editor and stylist Max Katt, the work explores the intersection of luxury fashion houses and the raw, unscripted moments of modern life. Through a sophisticated blend of editorial photography and collage techniques, the series bridges the gap between polished, high-contrast studio portraiture and spontaneous, lo-fi lifestyle captures. Photographer Marcello Junior Dino deftly manages this transition, utilizing studio strobe lighting to emphasize the structural integrity of ruffled collars and architectural silhouettes, while simultaneously embracing the grainy, cinematic texture of live-action technique street reportage. The project features models Aristide Deslandes and Atherton Grace Johnson, whose presence anchors the complex, multi-pane layouts. Complementing the sartorial precision, hair stylist Tsuyoshi Tamai and makeup artist Jeanne Salord lean into a naturalistic aesthetic that allows the garments—ranging from sheer, printed crop tops to structured blazers—to remain the central visual anchor. With casting by Remi Felipe, the editorial achieves a rhythmic, graphic flow, utilizing minimalist backdrops and bold colour blocks to create a narrative that is both artful and intentional. The result is a cohesive, multi-layered exploration of style that honors the technical demands of contemporary fashion while maintaining an authentic, human sensibility.
