Document Journal features Solange Knowles for the cover of its Winter 2024-25 special edition. The editorial portrait series, captured by photographer Joshua Woods, places the subject against a backdrop of dense woodland, using a minimalist geometric structure to anchor the composition. The execution relies on natural light and a clean, vertical framing to emphasize the contrast between the subject’s vibrant red attire and the neutral concrete setting. Fashion direction by Ronald Burton III highlights structural silhouettes, complemented by hair styling from Jawara, makeup by Miguel Ramos, and manicure work by Pika. This editorial production was supported by producer Lisa Olsson Hjerpe and tailor Carol Ai.
