Document Journal explores the intersection of historical aesthetics and contemporary fashion in 'Notes on Beauty.' This editorial feature utilizes clean minimalist compositions and macro techniques to highlight both the sculptural form of high fashion and the tactile nuances of modern beauty. Shot by photographer Davit Giorgadze, the series leans into graphic elements, employing studio lighting to accentuate the drape of structured garments and the sharp composure of model Iselin Steiro. The project incorporates a range of textures, from dense metallic jewellery arrangements to the synthetic, crinkled surfaces of plastic overlays. Fashion editing by Dogi Nesanir provides a consistent, tailored framework for the visuals, supported by set design from Felix Gesnouin. Hair styling by Kalle Eklund and makeup by Lynsey Alexander round out the aesthetic, focusing on precise grooming and bold colour application to underscore the project's conceptual approach to beauty.
