Captured for Rouge Fashionbook, the "Diane Chiu / How To..." project presents a raw, monochromatic exploration of fashion portraiture. Photographer Arseny Jabiev centres the series on model Diane Chiu, utilizing high-contrast lighting and clean studio environments to emphasize intricate garment textures and graphic silhouettes. The imagery shifts between tight, evocative beauty macro shots and poised, full-length editorial compositions, often employing an analogue film aesthetic that leans into grainy, tactile qualities. Fashion editor Imaan Sayed curates the wardrobe, drawing together structured tailoring, layered embellishments, and textured fabrics. The visual narrative is supported by hair stylist Junya Nakashima and makeup artist Yuki Hayashi, who maintain a consistent, sharp-edged aesthetic throughout. Production was managed by Jean Cabacungan-Jarvis, with casting direction by David Chen and precision retouching by Dmitry Rollins.
