The Courtyard is a comprehensive fashion editorial project commissioned by Crosscurrent, capturing a series of stark, monochrome portraits and observational studies. Photographed by Krisztián Éder, the series balances high-concept studio portraiture with raw, documentary-style captures of the surrounding environment, leaning into an aesthetic defined by analogue film grain and chiaroscuro lighting. The project features styling by Alex Harrington, who emphasizes sculptural silhouettes and heavy, tactile garment construction through the use of layered leather, raw-hemmed knits, and distressed textiles. The visuals are grounded by the set design of Caz Slattery, utilizing minimalist architectural elements such as weathered concrete and corrugated metal to maintain a cohesive, atmospheric tone throughout the collection.
