Crosscurrent: The Courtyard

The Courtyard is a comprehensive fashion editorial project for Crosscurrent, defined by a distinct monochrome aesthetic and a reliance on analogue film techniques. Photographed by Krisztián Éder, the series balances high-fashion portraiture with observational, documentary-style still lifes that emphasise raw textures, from weathered stone and corrugated metal to gravel and organic foliage. The visual narrative leans into chiaroscuro and soft, diffused natural light to highlight the sculptural silhouettes and layered constructions of the garments. With fashion styling by Alex Harrington, the work explores the interplay between minimalist architectural environments and tactile, distressed fabric finishes. Additional production roles include hair by Tamas Tuzes, makeup by Dick Page, casting by Rachel Chandler, and set design by Caz Slattery.
