In Waiting is an editorial fashion project for Crosscurrent that explores the relationship between structural design and industrial decay. Photographed by Anders Edström under the creative direction of Clarke Rudick, the series positions model Akti Konstantinou against stark, unfinished interiors characterized by peeling plaster, concrete floors, and weathered architectural details. The imagery utilizes a minimalist, raw aesthetic, leaning into the tactile qualities of the clothing. Styled by Akeem Smith, the wardrobe features expansive silhouettes, sculptural drapery, and deconstructed layers that contrast with the gritty, patinated surroundings. With hair styling by Louis Ghewy and makeup by Manu Kopp, the series employs a deliberate analogue film technique and diffused natural light to emphasize texture and form.
