Ligne d'horizon is a sprawling fashion editorial commissioned for Clin d’œil Magazine, captured by photographer Royal Gilbert. The series leans into a raw, organic aesthetic, placing model Charlotte Carey against the rugged, weathered landscapes of coastal rock formations and pebble-strewn shores. The imagery shifts between high-contrast monochromatic studies and warm, atmospheric portraits defined by natural light. Technique-wise, the project makes extensive use of analogue film to enhance its tactile quality. The styling, supported by hair stylist Steven Turpin, emphasises this grit through wet-look hair and the juxtaposition of sheer, structured garments against earthy, uneven surfaces. The result is a series that prioritises texture and scale, contrasting the human figure against the geologic vastness of the setting.
